For appetizers, we had the salmon ceviche with Atlantic Salmon, blue and yellow corn, lime, cilantro, onions, garlic, chipotle peppers and avocado with crostinis on the side. You have the option of changing the bread to romaine hearts. It was so refreshing.
My favorite appetizers were these popcorn shrimps coated in plantain crumbs, not bread crumbs, and served with spiced vinegar and a home made cocktail sauce. I kept going back for these and added them on to my salad too.
They also have grilled corn on the cobb, GMO-free corn with grass-fed herb butter, sea salt, parsley and salt paprika. You may also upgrade to blue corn if you wish for an additional fee. We also tried the Vietnamese spring rolls with rice noodles, cilantro, romaine, cabbage, mangoes, cucumber, mint, avocado, served with sweet chili Vietnamese dipping sauce.
Also available is a Boston clam chowder served with a sourdough toast. For the main course, they have pork ribs and chicken with coleslaw and beans for the sides together with an array of bbq sauces, Hickory, Carolina Gold (not in photo), Kansas, and Texas.
The baby back ribs were slow-braised ribs with a homemade bbq rub. I had it with the bbq chicken salad made with BBQ chicken fillet, blue corn, tomatoes, homemade salaw, black beans, baked onions, wanton crisps and a Kansas City bbq sauce and ranch dressing.
The bbq chicken was basted with the homemade Texas bbq sauce. I had it with the Vietnamese chicken salad with beansprouts, mint, cilantro, peanuts, rice noodles, cherry tomatoes and a homemade sweet chili Vietnamese dressing.
For drinks, they have bottled new stuff like the cashew milk, vegan cashew milk, cashew chocolate etc. We were able to try the buco pandan milk tea with pan dan tea, coconut milk, chia seeds, spirulina and honey. We also tried the blueberry shrub with blueberry, mint leaves, lemon, apple cider, honey and soda water. My favorite though was the strawberry shrub with strawberries, calamansi, goji berries, apple cider, honey and soda water. It reminded me of champuy, sweet and sour at the same time.
Nice creams for dessert are a must try with an open mind. Take note that these are dairy free, refined sugar free, gluten free and soy free ice cream. So… I really don’t know how they hacked it, but they did. Two flavors available: the coco-nut which is made of dark chocolate, coconut cream, cashew cream, almond milk and coconut sugar and strawberry with strawberries from Mt. Atok, coconut cream, cashew cream, almond milk and honey.
